ታሪኮችን ለመክፈት ከዚህ በታች የምትፈልጉትን ተጫኑ

1. ፍጥረት

ዘፍጥረት 1

ብመጀመርታ እግዝያብሄር ሰማይን ምድርን ፈጠረ። ሽዑ ጸልማት ነበረ። ገና ጽቡቅን ዝተመዓራረየ ነገር ኣይነበረን። ስለዚ እግዚኣብሔር ብቃሉ ንኹሉ ጽቡቕን ስርዓት ዘለዎን ገበሮ።

እግዚኣብሄር ንጸሓይን ወርሕን ከዋኽብትን ፈጢሩ። በዚ ኸምዚ ድማ ለይትን መዓልትን ገበረ።

Creation:

Genesis 1

In the beginning God created the heavens and earth. The world was dark at that time and there was nothing orderly or beautiful yet. Therefore, God created good order and made everything beautiful.

God created the sun, moon and stars, and in this way he separated day from night.

ዓለም ብመጀመርታ ስርዓት ኣልባ ነበረት።

ሰማይን ምድርን ዝፈጠረ መን እዩ?

ሰማይን ምድርን ዝፈጠረ እግዚኣብሄር እዩ።

2. እግዚኣብሄር ንኹሉ ጽቡቕ ገይሩ ፈጢርዎ

ዘፍጥረት 1-2

እግዚኣብሄር ንሰማይን ንምድሪን ንሩባታትን ቀላያትን ፈጢሩ። ኣኽራናት፡ ኣግራብ፡ ተኽልታትን ብዙሕ ዓይነት እንስሳታትን እውን ፈጢሩ። ዝፈጠሮ ኩሉ ጽቡቕን ውቁብን እዩ ነይሩ። ንምድሪ ድማ ኣዝያ ጽብቕቲ ቦታ ገበራ። እግዚኣብሄር ኣምላኽ በቲ ዝገበሮ ዕዮ ተሓጐሰ።

ብድሕሪ እዚ እግዚኣብሄር ሓመድ ወሲዱ ንሰብ ፈጠሮ። እቲ ሰብ ድማ ኣዳም ይበሃል ነብረ። ኣዳም በይኑ ከይከውን ዓሙቅ ድቃስ ምስ ደቀሰ እግዝያብሄር ካብ ጎድኑ መሰንገለ ወሲዱ ሰበይቲ ፈጠረ። ሰበይቲ ኣዳም ድማ ኰነት። ኣዳም ድማ ሄዋን ኢሉ ሰመያ። እግዚኣብሄር ኣብ ገነት ኣብ ዝበሃል ኣዝዩ ጽቡቅን ውቁብ ስፍራ ተኽሊ ኣቐመጦም።

God Creates Everything Beautifully

Genesis 1-2

God created heaven, the earth, rivers and lakes. He also created mountains, birds, plants and many different animals. Everything became very beautiful. The earth was a wonderful place. And God was pleased with all that he had made.

Some time later God took soil and created a man. The man was called Adam. In order for Adam not to be alone, God took a rib from his side while he was fast asleep and created a woman to be his wife.

Adam gave her the name Eve. And God put both of them in a very beautiful garden – in paradise.

ኣዳምን ካልኦት ፍጡራትን

ኣምላኽ ነቶም ናይ መጀመርታ ሰባት ኣብ ከመይ ዝበለ ቦታ እዩ ኣቐሚጥዎም?

ኣብ ገነት ኣብ ዝተባህለ ውቁብ ቦታ ተኽሊ ኣቐመጦም።

3. ኣብ ገነት ኣብ ዝተባህለ ውቁብ ቦታ ተኽሊ ኣቐመጦም።

ዘፍጥረት 3

ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ኣብዚ ጽቡቅ ቦታ ክነብሩ ጀመሩ። እግዚኣብሄር ድማ ቀረቦም። ነቲ ኣብኡ ዚርከብ ብዙሕ ዓይነት ፍረታት ብምብላዕ ባህ ኽብሎም ፈቀደሎም። እግዚኣብሄር ኣምላኽ ግና ካብ ሓንቲ ኦም ከይበልዑ ከልከሎም። ነዛ ፍረ እዚኣ እንተ በሊዖም ካብኡ ተፈልዮም ከም ዝሞቱ ኣጠንቀቖም።

ሓደ መዓልቲ ሰይጣን ብመልክዕ ተመን ናብ ሄዋን መጺኡ “እቲ ዝተኸልከለ ፍረ እንተበሊዕኩም ወልሓደ ኣይትኮኑን ኢኩም” በላ።
ብድሕሪኡ “ንእግዚኣብሄር ምእዛዝ ኣየድልን” ኢሉ ብሓሶት ኣእመና። ከምኡ ውን “እቲ ፍረ ምስ በላዕካ ከም ኣምላኽ ኣብ ሞንጎ ጽቡቕን ሕማቕን ዘሎ ፍልልይ ክትፈልጥ ኢኹም” ብምባል ኣታለላ። ስለዚ ሄዋን ካብታ ኦም ፍረ በሊዓ። ንሳ ድማ ንኣዳም ሃበቶ፡ ንሱ ድማ በሊዐ።

The Forbidden Fruit

Genesis 3

Adam and Eve started to live in this wonderful place. And God was close to them there. He allowed them to enjoy the many fruits of the garden. There was only one tree from which they were not permitted to eat. God warned them that they would have to die if they ate from its fruit. And they would be separated from him.

One day Satan came to Eve in the form of a snake and tricked her with a lie. He said to her, “Nothing bad will happen when you eat from the forbidden fruit. You do not need to obey God. When you eat this fruit you will know what is evil and what is good.” Eve believed him, ate from the fruit and gave it to Adam. And so he ate from it too.

ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ዝተኸልከለ ፍረ እናበልዑ

ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ምክሪ መን ሰሚዖም ኢዮም ዝገበሩ?

4. ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ካብ ገነት ተሰጒጎም

ዘፍጥረት 3፡1-24

እግዚኣብሄር በቲ ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ዝገበርዎ ኣዝዩ ሓዘነ። በዚ ምኽንያት ድማ ቀጸዖም። ካብቲ ውቁብ ገነት ኣባረሮም።
ንእግዚኣብሄር ስለዘይተኣዘዙ፡ ካባኡ ተፈልዮም ዘሸግር ናብራ ክነብሩ ጀመሩ። እግዚኣብሄር ግን ስለ ዘፍቀሮም በቲ መቕጻዕቲ ኣይተሓጐሰን።
ስለዚ ኣብ መጻኢ ንሰባት ናብ ጽቡቕ ህይወት ክመልሶም መደብ ኣውጽአ።

Adam and Eve Have to Leave

Genesis 3:1-24

God was very sad about what Adam and Eve had done. And he punished them. They had to leave the wonderful paradise and start a difficult life separated from God. But since he loved them, he didn’t like to punish them. So he told them of his plan to restore the good life to the people in the future.

ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ካብ ገነት ምስ ወጹ፡ ናብራ አጸጋኒ ኽኮኖም ከሎ

ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ካብ ገነት ስለምንታይ እዮም እተባረሩ?

ምኽንያቱ ንኣምላኽ ስለ ዘይተኣዘዙ።

5. ቃየልን ኣቤልን

ዘፍጥረት 4

ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ቆልዑ ወሊዶም። ስሞም ድማ ቃየልን ኣቤልን ይበሃል። ኣቤል ንእግዚኣብሄር ህያብ ሂቡ። ሕያዋይ ሰብ ስለ ዝነበረ ድማ፡ እግዚኣብሄር ነቲ ህያቡ ብሓጐስ ተቐበሎ።

ቃየል ሓዉ ድማ ንእግዚኣብሄር ህያብ ሃቦ። እግዚኣብሄር ግና ነቲ ህያብ ኣይተቐበሎን፡ ምኽንያቱ ቃየል እዙዝ ወዲ ስለ ዘይነበረ።

እግዚኣብሄር ኣምላኽ ንህያቡ ስለ ዘይተቐበሎ፡ ቃየል ኣዝዩ ተቘጥዐ። ቃየል ንኣምላኽ እንተ ዚሰምዕ ነይሩ፡ ንህያቡ ምተቐበሎ ነይሩ። ንኣምላኽ ግና ኣይሰምዖን። ኣብ መወዳእታ ድማ ንኣቤል ሓዉ ቀተሎ። እቲ ቃየል ዝገበሮ ነገር ኣዝዩ ሕማቕ እዩ ነይሩ። በዚ ምኽንያት ድማ እግዚኣብሔር ቀጽዖ። እግዚኣብሄር ናይ ምሕረት ኣምላኽ ስለ ዝኾነ ግና ሓደ እኳ ከም ዘይቀትሎ ቃል ኣተወሉ።

ኣዳምን ሄዋንን ካልኦት ቆልዑት ወለዱ።

Cain and Abel

Genesis 4

Adam and Eve had children. Their names were Cain and Abel. Abel gave a gift to God. And God happily received his gift.

His brother Cain gave a gift to God as well. But God didn’t accept his gift since Cain did not have a good attitude.

Cain became very angry because God didn’t accept his gift. If Cain would have listened to God and lived accordingly, his gift too would have been accepted. But he didn’t listen to God. He ended up killing his brother. That was evil indeed. And God punished him for it. Yet because God is a God of mercy, he promised him that nobody would kill him in revenge.

Adam and Eve had more children after Cain and Abel.

ቃኤል ስለ ዘይተኣዘዘ፡ ክፉእ ነገር እና ገበረ

ኣምላኽ ንህያብ ኣቤል ዝተቐበሎ ስለምንታይ እዩ?

ምኽንያቱ ኣቤል ንኣምላኽ ዝእዘዝ ወዲ ስለ ዝነበረ።

6. ኖህ

ዘፍጥረት 7

ኣብ ዓለም ሰባት ክበዝሑ ጀመሩ። ዓለም ድማ ብብዙሕ ክፉእ ሓሳባትን ክፉእ ተግባራትን ተመሊኣ። እግዚኣብሄር በዚ ኹሉ ኣዝዩ ሓዘነ። ከምዚ ዝኣመሰለ ሕማቕ ነገራት ደጊም ክርኢ ኣይደለየን።

እግዚኣብሄር ኣምላኽ ድማ ኣብ ማእከል ሰባት ሓደ ሕያዋይ ሰብ ረኸበ። እቲ ሰብ ድማ ኖህ ይበሃል። እግዚኣብሄር ድማ ንኖህ “ነዛ ዓለምን ንእኩያት ህዝብን ብማይ ስለ ዘጥፍኣ፡ ንዓኻን ንስድራቤትካን መርከብ ግበር!” በሎ። ኣምላኽ ንኖህ ከመይ ጌሩ መርከብ ከም ዝሰርሕ ነገሮ። ኖህ ከምቲ ኣምላኽ ዝበሎ መርከብ ሰሪሑ። ብድሕሪ እዚ ኣምላኽ ንኖህ ካብ ዅሉ ዓይነት እንስሳ ናብ መርከብ ከእቱ ኣዘዞ። ንኩሉም ዝበልዕዎ መግቢ ሒዙ ክመጽእ እውን ነገሮ። ብድሕሪ እዚ ኖህን ስድራ ቤቱን እንስሳታትን ናብታ መርከብ ኣተዉ።
ብኡንብኡ ማይ ኣይሄ መጸ። ኣምላኽ ግን ንኖህን ንስድርኡን ካብ ጥፍኣት ኣድሒንዎም።

Noah

Genesis 7

As the number of people on the earth increased, it was filled with evil thoughts and deeds. God was really sad about this and did not want to see the evil things any longer.

But he saw that there was still one good person among the people. His name was Noah. And God said to him, “Build a ship for yourself and for your family, because I will destroy the world and its evil people by a flood!” He also told Noah how to build it. And Noah made it just as he was told. After that God told him to put animals of each kind and food for all of them into the ship. Then Noah, his family and the animals entered the ship. Immediately afterwards the earth started to flood. But God saved Noah and his family.

ዝተፈላለዩ እንስሳታት ናብ መርከብ ክኣትዉ ከለው

ኣምላኽ ስለምንታይ እዩ ሓዚኑ?

ምኽንያቱ ሕማቕ ተግባራት፡ ናይ ደቂ ሰባት ኣብ ዓለም በዚሑ ስለዝነበረ።

ኣምላኽ ንኖህ ካብ ጥፍኣት ከድሕኖ ዝደለየ ስለምንታይ እዩ?

ምኽንያቱ ንኣምላኽ ዝእዘዝ ሕያዋይ ሰብ ስለ ዝነበረ።

7. እግዚኣብሄር ንኖህ መብጽዓ ኣተወሉ

ዘፍጥረት 8-9

ማይ ኣይሂ ድማ ንምድሪ ንብዙሕ ኣዋርሕ ሸፈና። ኣብ ዓለም ንዘለዉ ኩሎም ፍጡራት ኣጥፍኦም። ኖህን ስድርኡን ኣብታ መርከብ ምስኦም ዝነበሩ እንስሳታትን ጥራይ እዮም ድሒኖም።

እቲ ማይ ካብ ምድሪ ምስ ነቐጸ፡ ኩሎም ካብታ መርከብ ወጹ። ብድሕሪ እዚ ኖህ ንእግዚኣብሄር ኣመስገኖ።

ኣምላኽ ንኖህን ንደቁን ባረኾም። ኣብ ዓለም ክባዝሑ እውን ነገሮም። ካልኣይ፡ ጊዜ ንፍትረታት ዓለም ንምጥፋእ ከምዚ ዝኣመሰለ ማይ ኣይሂ ከም ዘይልእኽ መብጻኣ አተወሎም። እግዝያብሄር ከም ምልክት ናይዚ ኪዳን እዚ አብ ሰማይ ቀስተ ደመና ገበረ። እዚ ምልክት እዚ ክሳብ ሕጂ ሓድሓደ ግዜ ኣብ ሰማይ ይርአ እዩ።

God’s Promise to Noah

Genesis 8-9

The flood water covered the earth for many months. It destroyed all living creatures on earth. Only Noah, his family and the animals that were in the ship survived.

After the water had disappeared, they all got out of the ship and Noah worshipped and thanked God.

And God blessed Noah and his children. He told them to multiply. He also promised that he would never again send such a terrible flood. As a sign of this promise, he put a rainbow in the sky. Sometimes we can still see this sign.

ኖህን ስድርኡን ንኣምላኽ እናኣምልኹ

ቀስተ ደመና ናይ ምንታይ ምልክት እዩ?

እግዚኣብሄር ንካላኣይ ጊዜ ንፍትረታት ዓለም ብማይ ከም ዘየጥፍኦም ዝሃቦ ናይ መብጸኣ ምልክት እዩ።

8. ታሪኽ ባቢሎን

ዘፍጥረት 10-11

ድሕሪ ብዙሕ ዓመታት፡ ሰባት ኣብ ዓለም መሊሶም አና በዙሑ ከዱ። ኣብዚ ግዜ እዚ ኩሎም ሰባት ሓደ ቋንቋ ይዛረቡ ነበሩ። ንሓድሕዶም ድማ “ኩላትና ኣብዚ ከባቢ ንንብር፡ ዓባይ ከተማን ክሳብ ሰማይ ዝበጽሕ ግምብ ንሕንጽ” ተበሃሃሉ። ኣተሓሳስባኦም ጽቡቕ ስለ ዘይነበረ፡ እግዚኣብሄር ኣይፈተዎን። ስለዚ፡ እተፈላለየ ቛንቋታት ከም ዚዛረቡ ገበሮም። በዚ ምኽንያት ድማ ንሓድሕዶም ክረዳድዑ ስለዘይከኣሉ፡ ነቲ ዝጀመርዎ ስራሕ ደው ኣበልዎ። በዚ ኸምዚ ኣምላኽ ኣብ መላእ ዓለም ፋሕ ኣበሎም።

The Story of Babylon

Genesis 10-11

Many years later there were many people on earth again. At that time they were all speaking the same language. They said to each other, “Let’s all live together in just one area! Let’s build a large city with a tower that reaches to the sky!” God was displeased because their thinking was not good. So he caused them to speak many different languages and so they didn’t understand each other any longer. They were unable to carry on with the building work they had started. This way God made the people spread out and live in different areas of the world.

ሰባት ዝተፈላለየ ቋንቋታት ክዛረቡ ምስ ጀመሩ፡ ነቲ ግምቢ ምህናጽ ኣቋረጽዎ

ኣምላኽ ንሰባት እተፈላለየ ቛንቋታት ከም ዝዛረቡ ምስ ገበሮም እንታይ እዩ ኣጋጢሙ?

ነቲ ዝጀመርዎን ክሳብ ሰማይ ዝበጽሕ ግምብ ምህናጽ ኣቋሪጾም ኣብ መላእ ዓለም ፋሕ በሉ።

9. እግዚኣብሄር ንኣብራም ጸውዖ

ዘፍጥረት 12

ኣብራም አብ መቦቆል ዓዱ ምስ ስድራቤቱን ይነብር ነበረ። ሓደ መዓልቲ እግዚኣብሄር “ክባርኸካ፡ ንዓብዬ ህዝቢ ክገብረካ እየ፡ ኣነ ናብ ዝብለካ ርሑቕ ሃገር ኪድ!” ኢሉ ተዛረቦ። ኣብራም ድማ ከምቲ ኣምላኽ ዝበሎ ምስ ሰበይቱ ሳራይን ምስ ሎጥ ወዲ ሓውን ዘለዎ ንብረት ሒዙ ከደ። ድሕሪ ብዙሕ ጉዑዞ ኣብ ከነኣን እትበሃል ሃገር በጽሑ። ኣምላኽ ንኣብራም “ነዛ ሃገር ኣብ መጻኢ ንዘርእኻ ክህቦ እየ” ኢሉ ቃል ኣተወሉ።

God Calls Abram

Genesis 12

Abram lived with his family in his home country. But one day God said to him, “I will bless you. A large nation will come from you! Go to a far away land that I will show you!” Abram therefore took his belongings and left together with his wife and his nephew Lot. After a long, long journey, they arrived in a land called Canaan. And there God promised him, “In the future I will give this land to your offspring!”

አብራም የትውልድ ሀገሩን ትቶ ሲሄድ

አብራም የትውልድ ሀገሩን ለምን ትቶ ሄደ?

እግዚአብሔር ስለተናገረው ሀገሩን ትቶ ሄደ።

10. ምፍልላይ ኣብራምን ሎጥን

ዘፍጥረት 13

ኣብራምን ሎጥ ወዲ ሓዉን ብዙሓት እንስሳታት ነበሮም። ንዅሎም እንስሳታቶም ግን እኹል መግቢ ኣይነበረን። በዚ ምኽንያት ድማ ጓሶቶም ክባኣሱ ጀመሩ። ስለዚ ኣብራም ንሎጥ “ኣዝማድ ስለ ዝኾንና ክንበኣስ ወይ ክንካታዕ የብልናን! ዝደለኻዮ ቦታ ምረጽ እሞ ኣብ ዝተፈላለየ ቦታታት ንንበር” ኢሉ ምርጫ ኣቅረበሉ። ሎጥ ኣብ ጥቓ ፈለግ ዮርዳኖስ ዝርከብ ለምለምን ሓምላይን ቦታ መረጸ። ኣብራም ኣኮኡ ግን ኣብ ደረቕ ከባቢ እዩ ዝነብር ነይሩ። ይኹን እምበር፡ እግዚኣብሄር ንኣብራም ኣዝዩ ባረኮ እምበር፡ ንሎጥ ኣይባረኾን።

Abram and Lot Separate

Genesis 13

Abram and his nephew Lot had many animals but there was not enough food for all of them. So their shepherds started to quarrel. Abram then asked Lot to make a decision. He said, “We are relatives. It is not good to keep quarrelling! Let’s live in different areas! You choose where you want to be!” Lot chose to move to the green and fertile area beside the River Jordan. But Abram stayed in a dry region. Nevertheless, God’s blessing was with Abram, not with Lot.

ሎጥ ወዲ ሓው ንኣብራም ነታ ልሙዕ መሬት እናመረጸ

መን እዩ ነቲ ልሙዕ መሬት መሪጹ?

ሎጥ እዩ ነቲ ልሙዕ መሬት ዝመረጸ።

ኣብ መወዳእታ መን እዩ ተባሪኹ?

ኣብራም ኢዩ ተባረኸ።

11. ኣብራም ንቃል እግዚኣብሄር ኣመነ

ዘፍጥረት 15

ሓደ መዓልቲ ኣምላኽ ንኣብራም ከም ብሓድሽ ኣተባብዖ። ኣብራም ክሳብ ሕጂ ውላድ ክወልድ ከም ዘይከኣለ ንኣምላኽ ነገሮ። ኣብራምን ሳራይን ኣዝዮም ኣሪጎም ነበሩ። እግዚኣብሄር ንኣብራም ከዋኽብቲ ኣርእይዎ “ንዘርእኻ ከም ከዋኽብቲ ከብዝሆም እየ” ኢሉ ቃል ኣተወሉ።

ኣብራም ውሉድ እኳ እንተ ዘይነበሮ፡ ንቓላት ኣምላኽ ግን ኣመነ። እግዚኣብሄር ብእምነት ኣብራም ተሓጐሰ።

እግዚኣብሄር እውን ነታ ዚነብረላ ሃገር ኣብ መጻኢ ንዘርኡ ኸም ዚህቦም ቃል ኣተወሉ።

Abraham Trusts God

Genesis 15

One day God told Abram again how much he would bless him. But Abram reminded God that he still didn’t have a child. He and his wife Sarai were already very old. In response, God asked him to look at the stars in the sky and promised him, “I will make your descendants as many as the stars!”

Even though Abram didn’t have a child he believed the words that God told him. God was very pleased that Abram trusted him. And he repeated his promise that he would give the land in which Abram was living to his descendants in the future.

እግዚኣብሄር ንኣብራም ዘርኡ ከም ከዋኽብቲ ከም ዝበዝሑ ክነግሮ ከሎ

ኣብራም ንቓላት ኣምላኽ ኣሚኑ ድዩ?

እወ፡ ኣብራም ንቓላት ኣምላኽ ኣሚኑ እዩ።

12. እስማኤል

ዘፍጥረት 16

ሳራይ ንብዙሕ ዓመታት ውሉድ ክትወልድ ኣይከኣለትን ነበረት። ብሰንኪ እዚ ኣዝያ ትሓዝን ነበረት። ሓደ መዓልቲ፡ ሳራይ ንግዘእታ ኣጋር ንኣብራም ሰበይቱ ክትከውን መኸረታ። ኣብራም ድማ ተሰማሚዑ ንኣጋር ተመርዓዋ።

ኣጋር ጥንስቲ ምዃና ምስ ፈለጠት ንሳራይ ክተቃልላ ጀመረት። እግዚኣብሄር ግን ንኣጋር ንሳራይ ክተጉሕያ ከምዘይብላ ነገራ። ኣጋር ድማ ንኣብራም ወዲ ወለደት። ንወዱ ድማ እስማዒል ኢላ ሰመየቶ። ኣምላኽ ንኣጋር ዘርኢ እስማኤል ወዳ ከም ዝበዝሕ ነገራ። ብሰንኪ እቲ ቆልዓ ግን ኣብ መንጎ እቶም ስድራ ባእሲ ተፈጢሩ።

ድሕሪ ሒደት ዓመታት እግዚኣብሄር ንኣብራምን ንሳራይን ኣብርሃምን ሳራን ዝብል ሓድሽ ስም ሃቦም።

Ishmael

Genesis 16

Sarai was totally discouraged because even after many years she did not have any children. And so one day she advised her husband Abram to take Hagar, her domestic servant as a wife. Abram agreed and married her.

When Hagar discovered that she was pregnant she began to offend Sarai. But God told her to stop doing that. Some time later, Hagar gave birth to a boy and named him Ishmael. God assured Hagar that Ishmael’s descendants would be many. The whole situation with the child resulted in much quarrelling within the family.

A few years later, God gave Abram and Sarai new names: Abraham and Sarah.

እቲ ቆልዓ ኣብ ማእከል ስድራቤት ጠንቂ ባእሲ ክከውን ከሎ

ኣጋር ንሳራይ ምስ ጸረፈታ ኣምላኽ እንታይ ኢሉዋ?

ኣጋር ንሳራ ምሕዛን ከተቋርጽ ነገራ።

13. ምብጻሕ ናይቶም ሰለስተ ኣጋይሽ

ዘፍጥረት 18፡1-15

ሓደ መዓልቲ ሰለስተ ሰባት በታ ኣብርሃም ዝነብረላ ሃገር ይጓዓዙ ነበሩ። ኣብርሃም ግና መን ምዃኖም ኣይፈለጠን። ይኹን እምበር፡ ንሱን ሳራ ሰበይቱን ጽቡቕ ምግቢ መገብዎም። ሓደ ካብቶም ሰባት ንኣብርሃም “ኣብ ዝመጽእ ዓመት ሳራ ሰበይትኻ ወዲ ክትወልደልካ እያ” በሎ። ሳራ ነዚ ምስ ሰምዐት ሰሓቐት። ምኽንያቱ ኣዝያ ስለዝኣረገት ውላድ ክትወልድ ከምዘይትክእል ብምሕሳባ ኢዩ። እቲ ሰብኣይ ንኣብርሃም “ሳራ ስለምንታይ ሰሓቐት? እግዚኣብሄር ክገብሮ ዘይክእል ወልሓደ ነገር የለን” በሎ።

The Visit of Three Strangers

Genesis 18:1-15

One day, three men travelled through the land where Abraham was. He didn’t know who they were. Nevertheless, he and his wife Sarah provided a wonderful meal for them.

One of the three men said to Abraham, “In one year’s time Sarah will give birth to a son!” When Sarah heard this, she laughed, because she thought that she was already far too old to become a mother. At that, the man said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Nothing is impossible for God!”

ኣብርሃምን ሳራን ነቶም ሰለስተ ኣጋይሽ ክዕድምዎም ከለው፡ ሳራ እቲ ሰብኣይ ዝብሎ ምስ ሰሚዓ ክትስሕቅ ከላ

ኣብርሃምን ሳራን ነቶም ኣጋይሽ እንታይ ገበሩሎም?

ናብ ቤቶም ኣእትዮም ጽቡቕ መግቢ መጊቦምዎም።

ሳራ ስለምንታይ እያ ሰሓቐት?

ምኽንያቱ ውላድ ክትወልድ ዘይትኽእል ዕድመ ዝደፍአት ስለዝመሰላ።

14. ኣብርሃም ስለክፉኣት ከተማታት ለመነ

ዘፍጥረት 18፡16–19፥30

እቶም ሰለስተ ኣጋይሽ ምስ ከዱ፡ ኣብርሃም ከሰንዮም ምስኦም ወጸ። ካብቶም ሰለስተ ግን ሓደ እግዚኣብሄር እዩ ነይሩ። ገለ ካብተን ኣብ ጎልጎል ዝነበራ ሃብታማት ከተማታት ከጥፍኣ ምዃነን ነገሮ። ምኽንያቱ እቶም ኣብኡ ዚነብሩ ዝነበሩ ሰባት ኣምላኽ ዘይፈትዎ ብዙሕ ሕማቕ ነገራት ይገብሩ ነበሩ። ኣብ ሓንቲ ካብዘን ከተማታት እዚኣተን ሎጥን ስድርኡን ይነብሩ ነበሩ። ኣብርሃም ኣብኣ እንተወሓደ 10 ሕያዎት ሰባት እንተተረኺቦም ነተን ከተማታት ከየጥፍአን ንኣምላኽ ለመነ። እግዚኣብሄር ንሕቶ ኣብርሃም ተሰማምዐ። እንተኾነ ግና ኣብተን ከተማታት 10 ሕያዎት ሰባት እኳ ኣይተራኸበን። ስለዚ ነተን ከተማታት ኣጥፍአን።
ይኹን እምበር፡ ኣምላኽ ንሎትን ደቁን ካብ ጥፍኣት ኣድሒንዎም እዩ።

Abraham Pleads for Some Evil Cities

Genesis 18:16–19:30

When the three visitors left, Abraham walked with them to see them off. He realised that one of the three men was God. And God told Abraham that he was about to destroy some of the wealthy cities down in the valley, for the people there were doing many evil things. Lot and his family lived in one of those towns. When Abraham heard about this plan, he asked God not to destroy the cities if there were at least ten good people in them. And God agreed to Abraham’s request. But he didn’t even find 10 good people there. So, he destroyed the cities, though he saved Lot and his daughters from destruction.

ኣብርሃም ምእንቲ ሕያዎት ሰባት፡ ንእኩያት ከተማታት ከየጥፍኣን ንኣምላኽ ክልምን ከሎ

ኣብርሃም ንኣምላኽ እንታይ ለመኖ?

ኣብርሃም ሕያዎት ሰባት እንተ ተረኺቦም ነተን ከተማታት ከየጥፍኣ ለመኖ።

15. ይስሃቅ

ዘፍጥረት 21

ከምቲ እግዚኣብሄር ዝበሎ ሳራ ኣብ ተስዓ ዓመታ ቆልዓ ወለደት። ኣብርሃም ወዲ ሚእቲ ዓመት እዩ ነይሩ። ንወዶም ድማ ይስሃቅ ኢሎም ሰመይዎ። ትርጉም ናይቲ ስም ሰሓቕ ማለት እዩ። ኣምላኽ ድማ ብሰንኪ ይስሃቅ ሰሓቅ ገበረሎም።

ድሕሪ ምውላድ ይስሃቅ፡ እቶም ስድራ ብሰንኪ እስማዒል ተባእሱ። በዚ ምኽንያት ኣጋርን እስማኤልን ካብ ቤት ኣብርሃም ወጺኦም ናብ ደረቕ መሬት ከዱ። ይኹን እምበር፡ እግዚኣብሄር ንእስማኤል ኣብኡ እዩ ተኸናኺንዎ።

ኣብርሃም ንብዙሕ ዓመታት ውላድ እኳ እንተ ዘይነበሮ፡ ኣብ መወዳእታ ግን ከምቲ ኣምላኽ ዝበሎ ኣቦ ብዙሓት ኣህዛብ ኰነ።

Isaac

Genesis 21

Sarah finally gave birth, just as God had told her. At that time she was 90 years and Abraham 100 years old. They named their son Isaac, which means ‘laughter’. God made them laugh because of Isaac.

After Isaac was born, the quarrelling in the family increased because of Ishmael.

As a result, Hagar and Ishmael had to leave Abraham’s house and went to a dry region. God still provided for Ishmael in that place.

Even though Abraham didn’t have any children for such a long time, in the end he became the father of many nations – just like God had told him.

ኣብርሃምን ሳራን ምስ ወዶም ይስሃቅ

እግዚኣብሔር ንኣብርሃም ክሕቦ ቃል ዝኣተወሉ ወዲ መን ይበሃል?

እቲ እግዚኣብሔር ዘተስፈወሉ ወዲ ይስሃቅ ይበሃል።

16. ይስሃቅን ርብቃን

ዘፍጥረት 24-25

ኣብርሃም ቅድሚ ምሟቱ ነቲ እሙን ሰራተኛ ጸዊዑ ንይስሃቅ ወዱ ሰበይቲ ክረኽበሉ ኣዘዞ። ስለዚ እቲ ሰራሕተኛ ናብ መቦቆል ዓዱ ንኣብርሃም ተበገሰ። ኣብኡ ድማ እግዚኣብሄር ነቲ ሰራሕተኛ ናብ ርብቃ እትበሃል ሰበይቲ መሪሕዎ። ንይስሃቅ ክትምርዖ ከምትደልይ ምስ ተሓተተት፡ ነቲ መርዓ ተሰማሚዓ። ስለዚ ምስ ባርያ ኣብርሃም ናብ ይስሃቅ ከደት።

ኣብኡ ምስ በጽሐት ይስሃቅን ርብቃን ተመርዕዮም። ርብቃ ግና ውላድ ክትወልድ ኣይከኣለትን። በዚ ምኽንያት ድማ ይስሃቅ ንኣምላኽ ውላድ ክህቦም ለመኖ። እግዚኣብሄር ልመናኡ ሰሚዑ ርብቃ ሰበይቱ ማንታ ወለደት። ስሞም ያእቆብን ኤሳውን ይበሃል።
ስም ያእቆብ ትርጉሙ መታለሊ ማለት እዩ።

Isaac and Rebecca

Genesis 24-25

Before Abraham died, he ordered his chief servant to find a wife for Isaac. So, the servant went to Abraham’s homeland. There God led him to a young woman called Rebecca. When she was asked if she wanted to marry Isaac she agreed. And so she went with Abraham’s servant to Isaac.

Soon afterwards, Isaac and Rebecca got married. But Rebecca was not able to have children. So Isaac asked God to give them children. God heard his prayer and his wife Rebecca gave birth to twins. Their names were Jacob and Esau. The meaning of the name Jacob is ‘cheater’.

ኣብርሃም ንሰራሕተኛኡ ንይስሃቅ ወዱ ሰበይቲ ክረኽበሉ ምስ ኣዘዞ

ንይስሃቅን ንርብቃን ውላድ ንኽወልዱ ዝሓገዞም መን እዩ?

እግዚኣብሄር ሓጊዝዎም እዩ።

17. ያእቆብን ኤሳውን

ዘፍጥረት 25-28

ኤሳው ናይ መጀመርያ ወዱ ንይስሃቅ እዩ። ሓደ መዓልቲ ክሃድን ናብ ጫካ ከደ። ምስ ተመልሰ ድማ ኣዝዩ ጠምዩ ናብ ገዝኡ መጸ። ያእቆብ ሓዉ ኣብ ገዛ ብርስን ሰሪሑ ነበረ። ኤሳው ድማ ካብቲ ዝሰርሖ ምግቢ ክህቦ ለመኖ። ያእቆብ ግና “ርስቲ ኣቦና ክረክብ መሰል እንተ ሂብካኒ ካብቲ ዝሰርሖ ብርስን ክህበካ እየ” በሎ። ኤሳው ነቲ ያእቆብ ዘቕረቦ ሓሳብ ተሰማምዐ።

ኣቦኦም ይስሃቅ ቅድሚ ምሟቱ ንኤሳው ክባርኾ ደለየ። ኣብዚ ግዜ እዚ ያእቆብ ንኤሳው ኣምሲሉ ናብ ይስሃቅ ከይዱ ተባረኸ። በዚ ኸምዚ ድማ ኣታሊሉ ንበረኸት ኤሳው ወሰዶ። ኤሳው ነዚ ምስ ፈለጠ፡ ኣዝዩ ተቘጥዐ። ስለዚ ያእቆብ ፈሪሑ ካብኡ ሃደመ። ኣብ መንገዲ ከሎ ድማ ምሸት ስለ ዝነበረ ደቀሰ። ኣብቲ ቦታ እቲ እግዚኣብሄር ብሕልሚ ተራእዩ ብሓቂ ከም ዝባርኾ ነገሮ።

Jacob and Esau

Genesis 25-28

Esau was Isaac’s firstborn son. One day he went hunting in the forest and returned home very hungry. He saw that his brother Jacob had made lentil stew. So, he begged him to give him some of it. But Jacob said to him, “You can have some of this lentil stew, if you give me the right to the inheritance of our father.” Esau agreed to Jacob’s idea.

Before Isaac died, he wanted to bless Esau. But Jacob went to Isaac first, pretending to be Esau, and received the blessing instead of his brother. When Esau realised what had happened, he got very angry. So, Jacob became afraid and fled from him. On the journey it became dark and he went to sleep. There God appeared to him in a dream and told him that he would indeed bless him.

ዔሳው ወንድሙ ያዕቆብን ከምግቡ ሲለምን

ለምን ያዕቆብ ከሀገሩ ሸሽቶ ሄደ?

የዔሳውን በረከት በማታለል ስለወሰደበት ፈርቶት ነው።

18. ናይ ያእቆብ ሓድሽ ስም

ዘፍጥረት 32፡22-32

ድሕሪ ብዙሕ ዓመታት ያእቆብ ናብ ዓዱ ተመልሰ። ምስ ስድርኡ እናተጓዕዘ ከሎ ሓደ ለይቲ ቁሩብ ርሒቑ በይኑ ኮይኑ። ኣብቲ ቦታ ሓደ ሰብኣይ መጺኡ ንነዊሕ እዋን ተቓለሱ።

ያእቆብ ምቅላስ ስለ ዘየቋረጸ፡ እቲ ሰብኣይ ኣብ ምሕኩልቱ ወቕዖ። በዚ ምኽንያት ያእቆብ ክሕንክስ ጀመረ። ብድሕሪ እዚ እቲ ሰብኣይ ንያእቆብ “ሕጂ ክኸይድ ሕደገኒ!” በሎ። ንሱ ግና “ከይባኽካንስ ኣይሓድገካን” እየ በለ። ኣብ መወዳእታ እቲ ሰብኣይ “ምስ ሰብን እግዚኣብሄርን ስለ ዝተቃለስካ ብሓድሽ ስምኻ እስራኤል ክትበሃል ኢኻ” በሎ። ንያእቆብ ድማ ባረኾ።

Jacob’s New Name

Genesis 32:22-32

Many years later, Jacob returned to his homeland. While on the journey with his family, he went somewhere alone one evening. Then a man came to him and they wrestled for many hours.

Because Jacob didn’t stop wrestling, the man hit him hard on the hip. As a result, Jacob started limping. When the man said, “Let me go now,” Jacob answered, “I will only let you go if you bless me!” So the man finally told Jacob, “Because you have wrestled with people and with God, your new name will be Israel!” And he also blessed Jacob.

ያእቆብ ምስ ኣምላኽ ክቃለስ ከሎ

ያእቆብ ሓድሽ ስም እተዋህቦ ስለምንታይ እዩ?

ምስ ሰብን እግዚኣብሄርን ስለዝተቓለሰ ሓድሽ ስም ተዋሂብዎ።

19. ደቂ ያእቆብ

ዘፍጥረት 37

ያእቆብ ዓሰርተው ክልተ ኣወዳት ወለደ። ሓደ ካብኣቶም ዮሴፍ እዩ ነይሩ። ያእቆብ ንዮሴፍ ካብ ካልኦት ደቁ ንላዕሊ ኣዝዩ ይፈትዎ ነበረ። በዚ ምኽንያት ድማ ኣሕዋቱ ጸልእዎ።

ሓደ ለይቲ ዮሴፍ ሕልሚ ሓለመ። ኣብ ሕልሙ ድማ እንዳእቱ ትኽ በለት ናይ ኣሕዋቱ እንዳእቲ ድማ ክሰግደሉ ረኣየ። ብዛዕባ እቲ ዝረኣዮ ሕልሚ ንኣሕዋቱ ምስ ነገሮም፡ “ንስኻዶ ኣብ ልዕሌና ክትነግስ ኢኻ በሉ?” በቲ ዘረባኡ ድማ ተቖጢዖምሉ። ስለዚ ንዮሴፍ ኣዝዮም ጸልእዎ።

Jacob’s Sons

Genesis 37

Jacob had twelve sons. One of them was called Joseph. And Jacob loved Joseph more than his other children. Because of this, his brothers hated him.

One night Joseph had a dream. In the dream he saw how his brothers’ bundles of grain bowed down before his own bundle. When he told his dream to his brothers, they were angry with him and said, “Do you think you will become our king?” Because of his dream, they hated Joseph even more than before.

ዮሴፍ ነቲ ዝረኣዮ ሕልሚ ንኣሕዋቱ ክነግሮም ከሎ

ዮሴፍ ኣብ ሕልሙ እንታይ እዩ ርእዩ?

ዮሴፍ ኣብ ሕልሙ እንዳእቲ ስርናይ ናይ ኣሕዋቱ ነታ ናቱ ክሰግዱዩ ርእዩ።

20. ዮሴፍ ተሸጠ

ዘፍጥረት 37

ሓደ መዓልቲ ኣሕዋት ዮሴፍ ንኣባጊዕን ኣጣልን ኣቦኦም ኪሕልዉ ይከዱ ነበሩ። ኣቦኦም ያእቆብ ድማ ንዮሴፍ ምግቢ ሒዙ ከብጽሓሎም ለኣኾ። ኣሕዋቱ ካብ ርሑቕ ምስ ረኣይዎ ግን ክቐትልዎ ተማከሩ። ዮሴፍ ኣብኦም ምስ በጽሐ ብህይወት ከሎ ናብ ውሽጢ ጉድጓድ ደርበዩዎ። ኣብ መወዳእታ ድማ ካብቲ ጉድጓድ ኣውጺኦም ንዝሓልፉ ነጋዶ ሸይጦም። ዮሴፍ ምስ ተሸጠ ናብ ግብጺ ተወስደ። ኣብኡ ድማ ሰራሕተኛ ናይ ሓደ ካብ መራሕቲ ግብጺ ገበርዎ።

ኣሕዋት ዮሴፍ ናብ ገዛ ቅድሚ ምምላሶም፡ ጤል ሓረዱ። ክዳውንቲ ዮሴፍ ድማ ብደሙ ቀብእዎ። ድሕሪኡ ነቲ ክዳውንቲ ናብ ገዝኦም ወሰድዎ። ንኣቦኦም ብምሕሳው “ኣብ ሓደ ቦታ ወዲቑ ረኺብናዮ” ኢሎም ሃብዎ። ነዚ ምስ ረኣየ፡ ወዱ ዮሴፍ ብኣራዊት ከም ዝተቐትለ ኣመነ። በዚ ምኽንያት ያእቆብ ኣምሪሩ በኸየ። ንብዙሕ ዓመታት ድማ ኣዝዩ ሓዚኑ ይነብር ነበረ።

Joseph Sold

Genesis 37

Joseph’s brothers regularly went to herd the sheep and goats of their father. One day, their father Jacob sent Joseph to take them some food. When his brothers saw him coming from a distance, they made plans to kill him. But when Joseph arrived, they threw him alive into a deep hole. In the end, they took him out of the hole and sold him to some traders who were passing by. The traders took Joseph to the land of Egypt. There he was put to work for one of the leaders of Egypt.

Before Joseph’s brothers went home, they slaughtered a goat and stained Joseph’s robe with its blood. They took it home, gave it to their father and lied to him saying, “We found this somewhere.” When Jacob saw the robe, he cried bitterly because he believed that his son Joseph had been killed by a wild animal. He was extremely sad for many years.

ኣሕዋቱ ንዮሴፍ ንነጋዶ ምስ ሸጥዎ

ስለምንታይ እዩ ያእቆብ ክሳዕ ክንድዚ ሓዚኑ?

ያእቆብ ዮሴፍ ወዱ ብኣራዊት ዝተቐትለ መሲልዎ ሓዘነ።

ዮሴፍ ብሓቂ ድዩ ሞይቱ?

ዮሴፍ ብኣሕዋቱዩ ተሸይጡ እምበር ኣይሞተን።

21. ንዮሴፍ ሰበይቲ ጎይታኡ

ዘፍጥረት 39

ዮሴፍ ኣመሓዳሪ ቤት ናይ ሓለቓ ሰራዊት ግብጺ ኰነ። ምልኩዕ መንእሰይ ስለ ዝነበረ ድማ በዓልቲ ቤት እቲ ሓለቓ ምስኡ ዘይተፈቅደ ነገር ክትገብር ደለየት። ዮሴፍ ግና “ኣነ በዓል ቤትኪ ኣይኮንኩን። እዚ ሕማቕ ነገር ኣብ ልዕሊ ጎይታይ ክገብሮ ኣይደልን እየ። እዚ ድማ ኣብ ቅድሚ እግዚኣብሄር ክልኩል” ኢሉ መለሰላ።

እታ ሰበይቲ ግን ደጋጊማ ሓተተቶ። ኣብ መወዳእታ ድማ ዮሴፍ ዝተከድኖ ክዳውንቲ ሓዘት። ዮሴፍ ግና ክዳኑ ገዲፉ ሃደመ።
ንሳ ድማ ኣዝያ ተቖጢዓ። ናይ ገዝኣ ሃለውቲ ጸዊዓ “እኩይ ነገር ክገብረኒ ደልዩ ነይሩ። ምስ የእወኩ ግና ክዳኑ ደርብዩ ሃደመ” ኢላ ብሓሶት ከሰሰቶ። ሰብኣያ ድማ ነዚ ምስ ሰምዐ ንዮሴፍ ናብ ቤት ማእሰርቲ ኣእተዎ።

The Wife of Joseph’s Master

Genesis 39

In Egypt, Joseph became the manager of the army commander’s house. Because he was a handsome young man, his master’s wife wanted to do something forbidden with him. But Joseph told her, “I am not your husband! I don’t want to do that to my master! And it would also be wrong before God!”

But the lady didn’t stop nagging him. Finally, she grabbed him by his clothes, but Joseph threw them off and ran away. Now the lady became very angry indeed. She called the guards of the house and accused Joseph falsely with the words, “He wanted to do something bad to me. But when I shouted, he left his clothes and ran away.” When her husband heard about all this, he put Joseph in prison.

እታ ሰበይቲ ንዮሴፍ ምስ ሓዘቶ ክዳኑ ገዲፉ ክሃድም ከሎ

ዮሴፍ ንሕቶ እታ ሰበይቲ ዝኣበየ ስለምንታይ እዩ?

ዝሓተተቶ ኣብ ቅድሚ እግዝያብሄር ክልኩል ስለዝኾነ ኢዩ።

22. ናይ ንጉስ ግብጺ ሕልሚ

ዘፍጥረት 41

ሓደ ለይቲ ንጉስ ግብጺ ሕልሚ ሓለመ። ትርጉም ናይቲ ሕልሚ ክነግሮ ዝኽእል ሰብ ግን ኣይተረኽበን። ኣብ መወዳእታ እቲ ንጉስ ዮሴፍ ሕልሚ ናይ ምትርጓም ውህበት ከም ዘለዎ ሰምዐ። ስለዚ ንዮሴፍ ካብ ቤት ማእሰርቲ ኣጸዊዑ ነቲ ሕልሚ ክትርጉምሉ ሓተቶ። ዮሴፍ ንንጉስ “ትርጉም ናይ ሕልሚ ክነግር ዝኽእል ኣምላኽ ጥራይ እዩ” በሎ።

ሽዑ እቲ ንጉስ ንዮሴፍ ነቲ ዝረኣዮ ሕልሚ ነገሮ፡ “መጀመርታ ሸውዓተ ስቡሓት አሓ፡ ድሕሪኡ ሸውዓተ ቀጠንቲ አሓ ርእየ። ብድሕሪኡ እተን ቀጠንቲ አሓ ነተን ስብሕቲ አሓ ክበልዓ ርእየ” በሎ። ዮሴፍ ነቲ ሕልሚ ከምዚ ዝስዕብ ተርጒምሉ “እግዚኣብሄር ነዚ ክትፈልጡ ይደሊ ኣሎ፡ ብመጀመርታ ብዙሕ እኽሊ ዝእከበሉ ሽባዓተ ዓመታት ክመጽ እዩ። ድሕሪኡ ግን ሸውዓተ ከበድቲ ናይ ጥሜት ዓመታት ክመጻዕ ኢዩ። ኣብቲ ግዜ እቲ ኩሉ ሃብቲ ሰናይ ዓመታት ቀልጢፉ ክውዳእ እዩ። ስለዚ ኦ ንጉስ! ነቲ ጽቡቕ ግዜ ኣቐዲምካ ክትዳሎ ይግባእ” በሎ።

The Dream of Egypt’s King

Genesis 41

One night the King of Egypt had a dream. But no one was able to tell him its meaning. Finally, the king heard that Joseph had a gift to interpret dreams. So he had him come from prison and asked him to tell him the meaning of his dream. At this, Joseph responded, “Only God can reveal the meaning of dreams!”

Then the king told Joseph his dream, “First I saw seven fat cows and later I saw seven thin cows. Then I saw the thin cows eat up the fat cows.”

Joseph explained the dream to him, “God wants you to know this: First there will be seven good years of harvest. After that there will be seven difficult years of hunger. At that time all the wealth of the good years will quickly disappear. Therefore, make thorough preparations during the good time, oh king!”

ንጉስ ግብጺ ኣብ ሕልሙ ሸውዓተ ስቡሓት ላምን ሸውዓተ ቀጠንቲ ላምን ምስ ረኣየ

ሓቀኛ ትርጉም ናይ ሕልሚ ክነግር ዝኽእል መን ኢዩ?

ሓቀኛ ትርጉም ሕልሚ ክገልጽ ዝኽእል እግዚኣብሄር ጥራይ እዩ።

23. ዮሴፍ ዓቢ በዓል ስልጣን ኮነ

ንንጉስ፡ ዮሴፍ ሕልሙ ምስ ተርጐመሉ “ኣምላኽ ምሳኻ ስለ ዘሎ፡ ኣብ ኵሉ ምህርቲ ናይ እኽሊ ነገር በዓል ስልጣን ገይረካ ኣለኹ” ኢልዎ። ንጉስ ጥራይ እዩ ካብ ዮሴፍ ብስልጣን ዝበልጽ ዝነበረ። ስለዚ ዮሴፍ ኣብተን ሾብዓተ ናይ ጽጋብ ዓመታት እቲ እኽሊ ክእከብ ኣዘዘ። ኣብቲ ናይ መንግስቲ መቀመጢ እኽሊ፡ እኽሊ ከም ዝኽዘን ገበረ።

ብድሕሪ እዚ ከምቲ ዮሴፍ ዝበሎ ሸውዓተ ናይ ጥሜት ዓመታት መጸ። ኣብቲ ግዜ እቲ ንህዝቢ ግብጺ ካብቲ ዝተዓቀበ እኽሊ ብምሻጥ ካብ ሞት ኣድሒንዎም።

ብሰንኪ እቲ ጥሜት ኣሕዋት ዮሴፍ እኽሊ ክገዝኡ ካብ ሃገር ከነኣን መጹ። ዮሴፍ ምስ ረኣዮም ብኡብኡ ኣለለዮም። ንሳቶም ግና ኣይፈለጥዎን ነበሩ። ዮሴፍ ብፍጹም ሕያውነት እኽሊ ሃቦም። ይኹን እምበር፡ ገና ሓዎም ምዃኑ ኣይነገሮምን ነይሩ። እኽሊ ምስ ተቐበሉ ናብ ሃገሮም ተመልሱ።

Joseph Becomes a High Leader

Genesis 41-42

After Joseph interpreted the dream, the king said, “I am putting you in charge of all grain supplies, because God is with you.” This meant that only the king had more power than Joseph. Therefore, Joseph commanded to collect and put huge amounts of grain into the storages of the government during the seven good years.

Then, just as Joseph had told, the seven years of famine came. At that time, he sold the grain, and in this way, saved the people of Egypt from starving to death.

Due to the famine, Joseph’s brothers came from Canaan to buy grain. When Joseph saw them, he recognised them immediately. However, they didn’t recognise him. Joseph kindly gave them grain. But he didn’t tell them who he was. After his brothers received grain they went back to their country.

ዮሴፍ ንኣሕዋቱ እኽሊ ክህቦም ከሎ

ዮሴፍ ነቶም ብዙሕ ሕማቕ ነገራት ዝገበርዎ ኣሕዋቱ እንታይ ገበረሎም?

ዮሴፍ ብፍጹም ሕያውነት እኽሊ ሃቦም።

24. ያእቆብ ምስ ስድርኡ ናብ ግብጺ ከደ

ዘፍጥረት 43-46

ኣሕዋት ዮሴፍ እንደገና እኽሊ ክገዝኡ ናብ ግብጺ መጹ። ኣብዚ ግዜ እዚ ዮሴፍ “ኣነ ሓውኹም ዮሴፍ እየ። እግዚኣብሄር ንኹልኹም ካብዚ ጥሜት ከድሕነኩም ደልዩ ንዓይ ናብዚ ከም ዝመጽእ” ገበረ በሎም። ኣሕዋቱ ነዚ ምስ ሰምዑ ኣዝዮም ፈርሁ። ዮሴፍ ግን ነቲ ዝገበርዎ ኩሉ ክፉእ ተግባራት ይቕረ ስለ ዝበሎም፡ ኣይተቖጥዖምን። ግደ ሓቂ፡ ዳግማይ ምስ ረኣዮም ኣዝዩ ስለ እተሓጐሰ፡ ዓው ኢሉ በኸየ።

ሽዑ ዮሴፍ ንያእቆብን ስድርኡን መጺኦም ኣብ ግብጺ ክነብሩ ዓደሞም። ንሶም ከኣ ተሰማሚዖም ናብ ግብጺ መጹ። ኣብኡ ምስ በጽሑ፡ ያእቆብ ንወዱ ዮሴፍ ብህይወት ስለ ረኸቦ ኣዝዩ ተሓጐሰ።

Jacob and His Family Move to Egypt

Genesis 43-46

Later, Joseph’s brothers came to Egypt again to buy grain. This time Joseph told them who he was. He said, “I am your brother Joseph. God brought me here, because he wanted to save you all from this famine.” When his brothers heard this, they were extremely afraid. But Joseph was not angry with them, because he had forgiven them all their evil deeds. In fact, he was very happy to see them again. So he wept loudly for joy.

Then Joseph invited his whole family to come and live in Egypt. Back at home, Jacob and his family decided to accept the invitation. And so they moved to Egypt. When they arrived there, Jacob was overjoyed to find Joseph, his son, alive.

ዮሴፍ ንኣሕዋቱ ምስ ረኣየ ኣዝዩ ተሓጐሰ። ኣሕዋቱ ግና ፈሪሖሞ።

ዮሴፍ ስለምንታይ ብኣሕዋቱ ዘይተቖጥዐ?

ምኽንያቱ ዮሴፍ እግዚኣብሔር ነቶም ህዝቢ ካብ ጥሜት ከድሕኖም ከም ዝለኣኾ ተረዲኡ በቲ ዝገበርዎ ኩሉ ክፉእ ይቕረ ስለ ዝበለሎም ኢዩ።

25. ያእቆብ ንደቁን ደቂ ደቁን ባረኾም

ዘፍጥረት 48-49

ያእቆብ ኣብ ግብጺ ክነብር ከሎ ኣዝዩ ኣሪጉ ነበረ። ቅድሚ ሞቱ ንደቂ ዮሴፍ ብዓቢ በረኸት ባረኾም። ካብ ንዮሴፍ ዓቢ ወዱ ንላዕሊ ነቲ ንእሽቶ ወዱ ኤፍሬም በረኸት ሂብዎ። ነዚ ንምርኣይ ያእቆብ ክባርኮም ከሎ ኣእዳው አመሐሊፉ የማነይቲ ኢዱ ኣብ ልዕሊ ኤፍሬም፡ ጸጋመይቲ ኢዱ ድማ ኣብ ልዕሊ ሓዉ ኣንበሮ። ይኹን እምበር፡ ንኽልቲኦም ጽቡቕ ጌሩ ባረኾም።

ብድሕሪኡ ነቶም ዓሰርተው ክልተ ደቁ ጸዊዑ ንነፍሲ ወከፎም በበይኖም ባረኾም። ኣብ መጻኢ እንታይ ከም ዘጋጥሞም ነገሮም።

ዘርኢ ያእቆብ ኣብ መወዳእታ ዓሰርተው ክልተ ነገድ እስራኤል ኰኑ።

Jacob Blesses His Sons and Grandsons

Genesis 48-49

Jacob grew very old in Egypt. Before he died, he gave his greatest blessing to Joseph’s sons, especially to Ephraim who was the youngest. To show this, Jacob crossed his arms when he said the blessing. So he put his right hand on Ephraim and his left hand on his brother. In any case, Jacob blessed both of them thoroughly.

Later, he summoned his own 12 sons and blessed each one of them individually. He also talked to them about what would happen to them in the future.

Over time, the descendants of Jacob became the 12 tribes of Israel.
